While the footage shot in Hong Kong was short compared to the full length of this Samsung Galaxy S8 TVC, the preparation and arrangements needed still surprise us even till today.  Hong Kong streets can be unforgiving and without experience in crowd control, peak rush hours, and specific street locations, any project would be difficult to complete.  The location for his shoot was located in the densely populated shopping areas of Mong Kok and taking place during the peak of rush hour with a crane present.  Special permission to shoot on the street was needed in order to coordinate off at key areas.  To make the shoot look authentic and reflect Hong Kong’s densely populated streets, experienced extras were hired to assist in providing a natural everyday Hong Kong peak rush hour shopping area scene.   But this is the norm to make sure our directors get their shots!
